Welcome
to the Coastal Chapter of the South Carolina Healthcare Managers Association
website.We are a local chapter
of the South Carolina Healthcare Managers Association (SCHMA), which is
affiliated with the Medical Group Managers Association (MGMA).
Our
organization is dedicated to enhancing the knowledge and skills necessary
to professional leadership in the medical office setting.Through
regular meetings featuring timely educational content, we are able to keep
abreast of the ever changing landscape of healthcare management.
We
have an educational luncheon and networking on the 3rd Tuesday
of each month.The meetings are
held at the Comfort Suites located at the corner of Highway 544 and 17
Bypass in Myrtle Beach.
If
you are a healthcare manager or leader residing in the Coastal Carolina
area, you will gain valuable resources by joining our local chapter.Please

speaker for our February 21 meeting.She
is the ACMPE Forum Representative for SCHMA and will be talking to us about
the Body of Knowledge for healthcare managers as defined by the MGMA.She
will have information on the steps required to become certified in medical
practice management through the American College of Medical Practice Executives.Whether
or not you plan on pursuing certification, you will find the information
valuable, since it encompasses all 8 of the areas that are important to
successfully navigating the complexities of healthcare management today.
